Based in Kailua, Hawaii, guitarist, singer and songwriter Tommy Osuna melds his love of blues and old-school funk with Hawaiian slack-key guitar into a tasty sound all his own.

Here’s a video compilation of a number of Tommy’s live performances since 2015, a musical journey that will take you from Africa to India to outer space and beyond with a rock ‘n roll attitude:

Tommy has the soul of Jimi Hendrix, the phrasing of Jeff Beck, and the creative expression of Jimmy Page. He’s performed or recorded with Buddy Miles, Johnny Cash, Sly Dunbar, Earl “Chinna” Smith, Henry Kapono, John Cruz, and Adam Topol (of Jack Johnson’s band), among many others. He plays all styles of guitar including slack key, blues, funk, classic rock, fusion, and world music. Although he is mostly an instrumentalist, he has also sung on a number of recordings.

Tommy has performed in a number of different musical outfits:

• Tommy Osuna – solo singer/songwriter, performing acoustic-based guitar music.
• Tommy Osuna & Friends – Tommy on lead guitar with a rotating, eclectic mix of guest musicians.
• Ordinary Magic – With Brenda Layne (vocals, lyrics) performing neo-classic rock with tinges of the psychedelic.
